Abstract | Asymmetric total synthesis of L-allo-1-deoxynojirimycin (L-allo-DNJ) was achieved from cis-butene-1,4-diol by employing Sharpless asymmetric dihydroxylation, stereoselective flash dihydroxylation and ring enlargement reactions as key steps. |
