Abstract

[image omitted] An efficient enantioselective synthesis of (S)-guaifenesin with 99% ee using L-proline-catalyzed -aminoxylation of aldehyde as key step is described and explored for asymmetric syntheses of (S)-moprolol and (R)-methocarbamol.
