The dielectric properties of these composites were evaluated for different frequencies ranging from 100 kHz to 8 MHz at different temperatures from 30 degrees C to 120 degrees C. The dielectric permittivity increases with increase of nickel concentration. Increase in temperature enhances the permittivity initially, till 40 degrees C and thereafter the permittivity decreases. The dielectric loss exhibits relaxation peaks and the peaks shift to lower frequencies with increase in volume fraction of the nickel nanoparticles in the matrix. The evaluation of magnetic and dielectric properties of these composites suggests that the dielectric permittivity can be tailored by an appropriate loading of the filler using semi-empirical equations and the magnetic properties vary according to simple mixture equations. The prepared films were characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy, thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), surface resistivity, cyclic voltametery, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). SEM reveals the formation of homogeneous and adhesive polymer films while HRTEM confirms the uniform wrapping of polymer chains around the nanotube walls for PEDOT-FWCNT film. Improved thermal stability, conductivity and charge storage property of PEDOT in the presence of FWCNT is observed. Among different compositions, 5 wt. % of FWCNT is found to be optimum with sheet resistance and transmittance of 500 Omega sq(-1) and 77%, respectively. Moreover, the electronic and junction properties of polymer films were studied and compared by fabricating sandwich type devices with a configuration of Al/PEDOT or PEDOT-FWCNT nanocomposite/indium tin oxide (ITO) coated glass. The measured current density-voltage characteristics show typical rectifying behavior for both configurations. However, enhanced rectification ratio and higher forward current density is observed in case of PEDOT-FWCNT based Schottky diode. Furthermore, reliability test depicts smaller hysteresis effect and better performance of PEDOT-FWCNT based diodes. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. In the present work, highly porous cobalt-based ZIFs are strung along the highly conducive CNT backbone by using a simple one-pot technique at room temperature, which is then utilized to derive a porous, corrosion-resistant, Co nanoparticle-embedded electrocatalyst. Herein, for the first time, the single cell performance of the Co-ZIF-67-derived electrocatalyst has been evaluated by fabricating membrane electrode assemblies of alkaline exchange membrane fuel cell (AEMFC) and zinc-air battery (ZAB) systems. A maximum power density of 296 mW/cm(2) (vs. 317 mW/cm(2) for 40 wt.% Pt/C) and 60 mW/cm(2) (vs. 64 mW/cm(2) for 40 wt.% Pt/C) in the single cells of ZAB and AEMFC systems, respectively, establishes the practical proficiency of the homemade electrocatalyst for cathode applications during realistic system-level validations.&lt;/p&gt;</style>
<issue><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">11</style></issue><work-type><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Article</style></work-type><custom3><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Foreign</style></custom3><custom4><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">4.446</style></custom4></record><record><source-app name="Biblio" version="7.x">Drupal-Biblio</source-app><ref-type>17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Anantharamaiah, P. A composite comprising of nanocrystalline CoFe2O4 and bulk CoFe(1.9)Ga(0.1)O(4 )powders were mixed together then compacted and sintered at 1450 degrees C for 10 min. For a composite of 70 wt% CoFe2O4 and 30 wt% of CoFe(1.9)Ga(0.1)O4, maximum magnetostriction coefficient (lambda(max)) of -350 ppm has been obtained at lower magnetic field which is nearly 20% and 65% higher than that obtained for CoFe2O4 and CoFe1.9Ga0.1O4, respectively. Moreover, the composite exhibited higher strain sensitivity [d lambda/dH](max )of -2.6 x 10 (9) A(-1) m against the individual components of the composite.
