Saponification of the diester reveals the presence of an alcohol, hexadecanol and pentacosane dioic acid. The structures of both the compounds are confirmed by GCMS analysis. Saponification of pet-ether extract of Acacia nilotica has been carried out. Unsaponiflable matter is further purified by column chromatography followed by repeated mixed solvent crystallization to afford heptacosan-1,2,3-triol 2.</p>
<issue></issue><work-type></work-type><custom3></custom3><custom4></custom4></record><record><source-app name="Biblio" version="7.x">Drupal-Biblio</source-app><ref-type>17</ref-type><contributors><authors>

</authors></contributors><titles>

<secondary-title></secondary-title></titles><keywords><keyword></keyword><keyword></keyword><keyword></keyword></keywords><dates><year></year><pub-dates><date></date></pub-dates></dates><number></number><publisher></publisher><pub-location></pub-location><volume></volume><pages></pages>
<issue></issue><custom3></custom3><custom4></custom4></record></records></xml>
