This article highlights the potent antimicrobial activity of Ivacaftor against Staphylococcus aureus, including vancomycin– and other multidrug–resistant strains. The potent activity of Ivacaftor in vivo is also demonstrated in a murine neutropenic thigh infection model. Taken together, these results support the potential of Ivacaftor as an antimicrobial agent for the treatment of staphylococcal infections. © 2017 Elsevier B.V. and International Society of Chemotherapy</p>
<issue></issue><work-type></work-type><custom3></custom3><custom4></custom4></record><record><source-app name="Biblio" version="7.x">Drupal-Biblio</source-app><ref-type>17</ref-type><contributors><authors>

</authors></contributors><titles>

<secondary-title></secondary-title></titles><dates><year></year><pub-dates><date></date></pub-dates></dates><pages></pages>
<p>Vigabatrin is a potent inhibitor of gamma‐aminobutyric acid (GABA) catabolism used for the treatment of epilepsy.
