Herein, a synthesis of metal-organic framework is reported from a ligand featuring 12-aryl carboxylic acid groups appended on a hexaphenylbenzene and s-block element potassium. The synthesized MOF was characterized by thermogravimetric analysis, infrared spectroscopy and X-diffraction studies.
